Harvest

Yesterday we went to Roydon Church to celebrate harvest.  The church was decorated with pears, apples and flowers and the table at the front of the church was full of packaged and canned food.  When we got there we sung a song called Let's Celebrate.  After that Otters and Owls performed a poem called Our Teacher Says.  Then we all sung the second song which was But it's God who gives the harvest.  Mr Santy's class chanted a poem about fruit and veg.  Ms Barrow and Mrs Walsh's classes sang about a harvest rainbow.  Then we sung Harvest Song which was my favourite.

Cannon Billet, the vicar, showed us food items like pasta and told us how important water was.  If there was no water, most things wouldn't exist, all the life would die and the earth would turn into a dry desert.  When the service ended Cannon Billet asked us the question "What can we do to help people that don't have water?"  I think the answer to the question is we should donate money and build fresh water pumps to help them.
