African drumming

Today we had a music session with Mrs Jones (a teacher who left 5 years ago).  We learnt how to play djembe drums, using our hands to make different noises.  These different ways were called the bass, tone and slap.  We said our names to the beat of the drum, and what we liked.  Some people kept the beat with rhythm sticks.  At the end we had to make a tiptoe dance and do it back to the classroom.
