Crucial Crew

Year 6 went to Crucial Crew and had a marvellous day! We did lots of fun activities about how to keep safe. We did 10 amazing activities which everyone took part in and enjoyed. We were put into 10 groups and some of us were with another school. The fire activity was the best, but we can’t tell you what happened otherwise we will spoil the surprise when you go. In most activities we had to be with a partner. We also learnt about internet safety, the recovery position, safety at the coast and electrical safety.

D.T. - Fish Banners

As part of our topic on coasts we designed a fish appliqué - this means we cut out the shape of a fish on various coloured materials and stitched them on to another piece of fabric to form a picture. To give a 3D effect we stuffed the bodies with wadding. Our classes had lots of fun completing this work, learning how to thread needles and stitch neatly. We thank Miss Stannard and Miss Leftley for organising it for us to do.

Look at the work we did.

They look brilliant!  We hope you agree.
